"Glasrew Point" is an 80 minute cinematic dive over a cliff and into the abyss. This is serious and disturbing music that fucks with your emotions. But also a complex and highly original work. The influence of Neurosis and Godflesh may be there to a small degree along with the long-range ambition of "Fragile"-era NIN, but the music is undeniably its own animal. You can tell how much thought and craft has gone into this release. One of the better songwriters I have come across in a long time.
Favorite track: Sound of Salvation.
It turns out that this exceptional album from French noiseniks is an avant garde masterpiece that ventures into hell and beyond and underneath all the terrifying things we do not want to hear. At Glasrew Point no one can hear you scream🤘
Favorite track: Vanishing Point.
This French band is out of this world.
Amazing, rough and soft... it's a new kind of music: Wheelfall sound.
They also wrote a book to fit with this Masterpiece. As a writer (amateur), Such a great book.
Put them together: it blew my mind !!!!
Favorite track: Dead Eyes.
"Various subtle shades of grey, brown and blue for this dark music which stimulates the mind without neglecting the body (and more specifically the neck) - , since it keeps a raw and warlike aspect. Note: 8/10"
"We can talk about masterpiece, the word is not usurped. Note: 5/5"
"A continuous gasping, a grayness so ferocious and yet poetic. A little masterpiece."
"Glasrew Point" is an extremely captivating album and I'm sure that it will satisfy all listeners interested in non-traditional approaches to metal music."
WHEELFALL is a constantly evolving band, combining influences from Post-Metal,
Avant-garde Metal, Noise Rock and industrial music among other genres. You’ll hear in the band’s music the rage of a NEUROSIS, the heaviness of GODFLESH within tortuous and dissonant atmospheres evoking TODAY IS THE DAY....more
I don't really like black metal much. But... this is pitched far enough from the archetypes of the genre that I can actually enjoy it as the beautiful piece of progressive metal that it is. Lethologica82
“Iris” is one of those albums that pulls out all the stops and when it isn’t blurring the lines of multiple genres, it’s setting down stalwart ramparts firmly within one or another. An album that plays out like The Heroes Journey- an arc of inner turmoil, exterior conflict, a test of mettle on all fronts as you make your way in the world toward your one true destiny and stand at the gates with an open heart and all of the world at your back. justanoldgod
